I detest Huffington Post, they come off as a bunch of snobs. Try posting a dissenting opinion and see how quickly you're blocked from posting ANY further comments. I don't like Arianna Huffington or her site, she's a scheming fair-weather faux liberal and her site is pure junk journalism. We need to raise our journalistic standards in this country, not lower them, and Huffington Post is pure trash.

What's your game?...Go on the Huffington Post and say how snotty DU folks are?
I enjoy both DU and Huff Post, and comment on each. Although DU is better organized. I have never been banned from either site for expressing my opinion, even when it is a "dissenting" one.

I see these types of posts once in awhile and wonder just what you mean by "dissenting". Huff Post is overloaded with celeb opinion pieces and has an oft critiqued 'entertainment' section, but it, along with DU and Raw Story, Daily Kos, Think Progress, etc...ALL are doing great work, in their own way, in informing the public of news stories and opinions that are censored from the MSM.

We should be celebrating the few outlets we have for REAL news and participation. Arianna was a proud dissenter to the Iraq War from the beginning. There may be small criticisms of Huff Post and DU but on the whole, all these sites have been a blessing to those of us who felt like we were crying in the wilderness in those dark days of MSM war fever.

Who could have foreseen the accumulative strength of the instant pervasive Internet reach that the surviving liberals latched onto to withstand this CONSERVATIVE CYCLONE since 1980s. . .

just as television technology helped stop the Vietnam war, so will the Internet technology help stop the Iraq occupation. . .

And frankly, if you gave me a choice between McCain or Ron Paul as president, I'd pick McCain. Because RP and his followers are extremist zealots of the highest order, and would have no qualms about dismantling Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, OSHA, Worker's Compensation, Unemployment Insurance, the Environmental Protection Agency, The Department of Energy, the Department of Education, AFDC, the minimum wage, the Food and Drug Administration, etc., etc. And the internet is breeding a lot of them.
