2. My Blood Still Boils from That Theft
I will never forget what happened.... how corporate America and the Supreme Court conspired to thwart or Democratic process. And pro-corporate type wonder why we on the left have so much animosity towards corporate power.... we know as our forefathers knew we could never and should never trust big business with so much power.

3. So true, FH - I don't think any one of us will ever forget the travesty that cost former VP Gore the
Presidency. He won it, and everyone who's being truly honest with him/herself knows it.

Over four thousand people might still be alive if Al Gore had been in the Oval Office, versus The Village Idiot - and gas and groceries will still be relatively affordable.

4. We Truly Lived Through a Corporate Coup of America
Watching our civil liberties be trampled upon by wealthy interests as corporations get bailed out and while poor/middleclass Americans get blamed for their own financial predicaments. Those predicaments were created by those same wealthy interests. To them we are just sheep and cattle for their disposal. This is not America, not the America that fought against the British.

"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion... We have had thirteen States independent for eleven years. There has been one rebellion. That comes to one rebellion in a century and a half, for each State. What country before ever existed a century and a half without a rebellion?" --Thomas Jefferson to William S. Smith, 1787. ME 6:372

Sounds extreme..... look at what corporate America and their right wing have done to us. Now, that's extreme.

18. Except that "affordable gas" is not consistent with saving the planet
Oil is running out and the planet is heating up. Cheap gasoline is part of the problem not part of the solution.

Europeans are paying up to $9 per gallon (including taxes) and there are still more cars on the road every year.

What we really need are legislative measures to radically reduce the number of SUVs and other inefficient vehicles.

6. the not so supreme court - that one? I saw the video of Boston Legal
In the presentation by Spader the actors portraying the court sat there without reacting when attacked for legislating, not ruling.

I can't capitalize S in supreme or C in court until we get a real Supreme Court.

8. and only 7 years to late!
you know, im sure all the stuff in the movie has been common knowledge by alot of people on DU since 2001 ...
but then you have these new 'being in politics is neat!' crowd as of late who blame 2000 on things like nader running.

finally, someone put it all together so everyone can finally understand how and why the election was stolen by fraud.

9. Laura Dern has really captured Katherine Harris's look:
Sort of Cruella DeVille, with a touch of Morticia Addams (as played by Angelica Huston).

14. Looks as if she's captured the essence of Katherine Harris.
I have never been able to get over the fact that Harris went on to become the Representative for Florida's Thirteenth District. Good Lord, what were those people thinking when they elected her?

19. It looks like Laura Dern has Harris nailed!
I agree with David Lynch that Laura Dern is one of the greatest actors alive today.

She was awesome in "WILD AT HEART". Also made the Jurassic Park movies watchable.

11. Katherine Harris
Laura Dern sure seems over the top in that role - can't wait to see the lampooning.

13. Tom Wilkerson is a dead ringer for James Baker, too
The persona, the mannerisms, the Texas accent - he's got Baker down to a "T".

He was just as excellent as Benjamin Franklin in the "John Adams" miniseries. An outstanding actor.

15. OMG, so true - who can ever forgot when the ballot-counting was brought to a complete halt?
Irregardless of any and all decisions The Supreme Court has handed down, and will make in the future, that one albatross will forever hang around their collective necks.

The movie will probably come out about two months after its original broadcast.

Bummer ...

Hopefully this movie will help to educate a lot of people who still buy the "It was close, but Bush won." spin that has been continuously forced on us by most of the corporate-owned news media since November 2000.
