Tonight on Countdown, Keith Olbermann’s Special Comment was directed at Senator Hillary Clinton over her failure to immediately fire supporter and former member of her campaign finance committee, Rep. Geraldine Ferraro, after making inappropriate racial comments about Senator Barack Obama.

5. Too Bad
he didn't feel the need to ask Obama to refuse the delegate votes from congressman John Lewis....who was forced by black voters and black delegates to drop his support of Hillary Clinton for the black candidate Obama. To bad there wasn't a shame on you Congressman for changing your support due to pressure and and a perceived threat of not getting reelected, especially a man who marched in Selma for civil rights. I'm just asking for fair play here....but you cant get that in this contest. The way Ferraro said it was wrong...but thats not Clinton's fault...just like its not Obamas fault that black delegates are quietly being forced to support Obama. At a time when we as democrats should be so proud of the two extraordinary candidates we have running for President...we choose to fall for the media flamed racism and sexism. I hope we haven't all jumped on a band wagon that takes us away from the white house for another 4 years..instead of slamming right into those whited house doors...blowing them wide open and taking back our country.

6. forced? Please provide evidence.
Regarding Lewis ....

Georgia primary on Feb 5:
Obama: 66%
Clinton: 31%

http://www.ajc.com/wireless/content/news/stories/2008/02/27/Lewis_0228_web.html

Lewis cited the overwhelming preference for Obama in his Atlanta district as a reason for his change of heart. But he also talked about Obama's campaign as a transformational moment, an opportunity born of Lewis' own sacrifices in the 1960s civil rights movement.

"Something's happening in America, something some of us did not see coming," Lewis said. "Barack Obama has tapped into something that is extraordinary.

"It's a movement. It's a spiritual event," Lewis said of the surging Obama campaign. "It's amazing what's happening."

I'm going to take Lewis at his word, that his decision was mostly based on following the will of his constituents.

As for other black superdelegates being pressured, I'd like to see some evidence or even solid journalism reports about it.

However you look at it, there's one thing we can all agree on ... the superdelegate situaton has opened a can of worms.
The only thing that will solve this problem is for all superdelegates to recuse themselves from selecting a candidate. Let the people decide.

7. ummm... never mind, here's an article that supports some of your points.
:(
not that they're switching to Obama, that they're doing it under pressure.....

Black Ohioans Backing Clinton Feel the Pressure to Switch

CLEVELAND — The way Eugene R. Miller was hemming and hawing about Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, you would have thought he was trying to sell igloos in the Sahara.

Mr. Miller, a state legislator who represents a solidly black wedge of this majority-black city, was standing before a roomful of silver-haired constituents and making a semi-heartfelt pitch for Mrs. Clinton. He talked about her political skills, her commitment to urban America and her promise to address the mounting foreclosures that are turning swaths of his East Side district into ghost towns.

But, nervously shifting his feet, Mr. Miller was also moved to explain how he — a young African-American who won office two years ago after finishing first in a primary election by fewer than 200 votes — could have the gumption to make a case against Senator Barack Obama, the man who stands to become the nation’s first black president.

“I believe in sticking to my word,” he said, adding that he had cast his lot with Mrs. Clinton long before Mr. Obama’s candidacy became viable. “And there is something to be said for courage.
