Do any of you ever think about moving to Latin America or even
going to work there for a time? My kids are grown now and I keep fantizising about teaching in Mexico or Venezuela or even in El Salvador (maybe El Salvador).

1. Maybe
I'd certainly like to get out of here for awhile. I was thinking Costa Rica or something.

2. It would be hard for me to go to El Salvador because
the wingnut wing of my family is active in ARENA. :(

3. Yeah, I think the relatives I have left there are ARENA
too. That being said, I don't really have that many relatives left there. Most have scattered all over the world.

4. my ears hurt after a while
aching for english, when i spend too much time travelling in mexico. but when i'm out among 'em, yeah, i think how delightful a morning's stroll would be knowing i was just going around the block not back to a hotel.

when i get back to EUA i get a thrill with everyone even the mexicans speaking english. an old dog not learning new tricks. of course i find myself struggling to remember the english word for stuff now and again. i would enjoy living in spain, madrid was completely delightful except for the absence of chile. have a great weekend, gente.

I don't have kids, so I don't know who will care for me when I am old. I must move to a country with good elder care. Is Cuba the only one? Hablo espanol, pero no se hacer el tilde con mi iBook, ni los acentos. No soy Latina, soy Minnesotina.

6. Lately, yes.
If this country doesn't get back on track, I'm seriously thinking of moving back to Chile. Actually, my retirement income would go further there. I still have my Chilean citizenship as well. The only thing that worries me is that the USA will still keep meddling in Latin American affairs until we get an American government that realizes that they don't own the whole Western Hemisphere for their own gain and profit.

7. Follow your heart!
What have you got to lose?

I do want to travel there. I was watching a series on this part of the world on the Travel Channel. Beautiful country!
