LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Members of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters are choosing between three candidates vying to be the powerful union's next president.

General President James Hoffa won most of the votes cast during a nomination process Thursday during the union's convention in Las Vegas. Hoffa is seeking a third five-year term.

He won more than 1,300 votes. Rivals Fred Gegare won 141 votes and Sandy Pope collected 137 votes.

More than 1,600 delegates voted in the nomination process that decided which candidates will appear on the ballot for the union's November election.

3. So do you think Hoffa is vulnerable?
As I said, I don't follow this union very closely.

4. I don't think he really is

I just like to remind people that there is a freedom of choice and speech. I take union members rights very seriously. I will be leading a big blow out of my local very soon. More info AFTER it happens.
