Rite-Aid drugstore workers are leafleting dozens of Rite-Aid stores nationwide to call attention to what the UFCW’s Bill Epstein calls the company’s culture of corporate greed. Epstein says Rite-Aid workers are defending themselves fro man assault on their living standards and job rights.

: “It’s ironic that in a time when corporate profits are at a record high, unemployment is also at a record high. There’s no question that the way this economy has been treating working men and women has been a disaster. If you see union members outside of Rite-Aids today please take their flyers and give them to the store manager or to workers inside the store and ask them to pass it along to their corporate headquarters. You can visit Facebook and Twitter and pick up a message there and send it to Rite-Aid headquarters. ”

1. I'll certainly happily pick up the information and send it on
but I won't walk into a store where union members are leafleting or picketing. I consider that a line I will not cross.

As a slightly amusing anecdote, my partner was asking me why I kept getting calls from a certain company about taking scab nursing jobs. He thought I might have worked as a scab once. Not so! I use to do travel nursing and I guess my name got into the wrong database. I would never, ever work as a scab. The money may be high but the cost to my soul would be infinitely higher.
