Pollster Celinda Lake: Worker Anger At Corporations Exists Alongside Distrust Of Government

According to pollster Celinda Lake of Lake Research Partners says distrust of government is at an all-time high. Lake says her polling suggests that the distrust stems from economic concerns and fears among workers, but she says it’s not an endorsement of the extreme right. Lake says alongside the distrust of the government is job and paycheck anger directed at big banks and corporations. Lake says her research shows that 38 percent of U.S. workers say they or someone close to them had lost a job in these hard times. Forty-three percent have had wage cuts.
