Goodyear and Union reach tentative agreement

Union members were prepared to Saturday night if a deal had not been reached with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.

Members will learn the details in the coming days.

After two extensions, the contract was scheduled to expire at midnight Saturday for more than ten-thousand workers at seven plants in the country...including the Topeka plant.

The chief negotiator says he is pleased to have reached an agreement.
Negotiators reached a tentative agreement around 9PM Saturday, although no details are being released at this point.
