Trying to get a union..... the rub...
It's so funny that we talk about the EFCA and the employers are all concerned about their employees rights. Well, what about the fact that the company can send out anti union stuff through company owned implements while it's against the law for employees to use the company owned stuff to send out union things.

My husband works for a company which the IBEW is on its second attempt to unionize. They have meetings that the employees are required to attend to scare them off of the unions... and now my husband just got an email from his boss trying to scare the newer employees away from the union... the forwarded email states that if they unionize, then if the company has to lay people off then those who have been there less than six years will have to go first. it also said in there something about at the discretion of the company.... so wouldn't that mean that they could lay off whoever regardless of how long they had been there??

bob thinks they must be pretty scared about the union. i hope they get it this time. i know two nos already, which i have mentioned in previous posts... my brother because the union supports obama. way to go brother of mine... i always thought he was a smart guy... i never understand why people would vote against their own interests. i wonder if he would quit if the union got voted in.

Without a union the company can lay off or fire anybody they choose. Good luck.
