The U.S. Department of Labor is suing a Troy employer in an effort to recover minimum wage and overtime back wages for employees.

The department says an investigation into Xero-Fax incorporated, found 35 employees were often not paid the required federal minimum wage, and also found that the workers were required to work more than 40 hours during many workweek, without getting overtime pay.

The suit asks the court to force the company to pay the worker's back wages, as well as interest.

Xero-Fax provides truck document services.
