Economic Report: High Cost Leaves One In Four Kids Without Health Insurance - 05/04/07

Economic Report

By Jesse Russell

A new report finds that one in four American children don’t have full-time health care. The startling findings by the Children’s Health Fund says that 11.5 million children go without medical care for at least part of the year, with 9 million who are completely uninsured and another 3 million who simply don’t have transportation. According to the report many families make too much money to qualify for Medicaid, but not enough to afford personal insurance.
