ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY, N.Y. -- Federal officials have begun their investigation into a fatal mining accident in St. Lawrence County. Paul Clewis, 40, was killed Saturday while working in a mine owned by the Saint Lawrence Zinc Company.

Investigators said Clewis was drilling into a wall when the ceiling above him collapsed.

OSHA and the Mine and Health and Safety Administration were called in. They are still looking into the case.

1. I work at a place governed by MSHA
I will try and gather details about this and pass them along. But MSHA (rightfully) generally does not release results until all the facts are in. No matter, this accident stinks. We've had enough.
