Coal Digging Blues: Songs of West Virginia Miners, Chumbawamba, and more

http://www.laborheritage.org/newitems.htm

Just two of the items offered.

Chumbawamba
A Singsong and a Scrap CD $15
The folks who brought us "Tubthumping" have got back up again with a newfolk agitprop acoustic CD complete with catchy melodies, four part harmonies, and a sense of awareness of the world around them - including songs about Joe Hill and Emma Goldman.

Coal Digging Blues: Songs of West Virginia Miners CD $16
West Virginia miners sing gospel, blues and country music about the hopes and hardships of their work, their lives and their union. The songs were originally collected by George Korson during the 1940s.

1. Chumbawamba used to model themselves after the Sex Pistols
...way early on. Interesting release. No list of songs though. I'd like to hear Blue Diamond Mine one more time.

3. Gotta share the poem from Ani Difranco about Bush, 911, MSM, etc.
I came across the following the links from her live rendition of Woody Gutherie's Do Re Me on the labor musical festival page.

She preformed this one at Carnegie Hall 7 months after 911.
