Rice: Expect more violence in Iraq

The Associated Press
Published April 19, 2006, 1:56 PM CDT

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says Americans should be prepared for more violence in Iraq -- even after a government forms there.

During an appearance in Chicago today, Rice said she sees no equivalent of the V-E or V-J days the U-S celebrated during World War II. She says conquering terrorism in Iraq will be a gradual process.

Rice gave a 20-minute speech before the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations and then took more than an hour of questions from the audience.

Rice: Expect more shoe shopping in New York

The Associated Press
Published April 19, 2006, 1:56 PM CDT

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says New Yorkers should be prepared for more shoe shopping sprees in New York -- even while New Orleans still needs work and while Iraq is still all fucked up.

During an appearance in Chicago today, Rice said she sees no reason why people should be upset of this. She says shoe shopping while people are dying is a satisfying and thrilling process.

Rice gave a 20-minute speech before the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations and then took more than an hour of questions from the audience, before going to get some new shoes.

:sarcasm:

6. Really? No "V-I" Day, proclaiming victory in Iraq?

Everyone in the entire Bush administration should be clapped in irons and tried for treason.
