What kind of pull does NewsMax have on Google?

What kind of pull does NewsMax have on Google?
Usually on a daily basis, I search for Patrick Fitzgerald news. Everytime the page loads with PF news, NewsMax bogus articles are always first. Right now there is an article from NewsMax dated April 12th and it's been that way the last few days, yet other more recent articles just hours old are listed underneath the NewsMax article. This really ticks me off because most of their articles on Patrick Fitzgerald have headers that are totally wrong. What gives?

4. I thought you meant their poll
they always have "poll" lures with Bush, Condi or the Rove and ask you to
give your opinion, then they have you in their database.
