3. And straight into Bush's and Cheney's pockets.
I always thought that the one getting screwed was the one who got paid, but the rules seem to have changed. Not only are they screwing us, we have to pay them for it.

5. Some of them will never get it and they'll blame it on Clinton.
You know, from their point of view, if Clinton hadn't been president, we'd all be back to living in Eden.

6. I saw a guy fill his van up for $61 dollars....

Gas was $1.87 a gallon. How will the middle class afford even higher gas prices during this summer? My Aveo cost me $18 dollars. I've down sized from the larger 6 cylinder vehicles and find I'm paying the same as I did couple of years ago for the bigger cars. Bushco better be realizing that we no longer have a housing refi boom to finance his big oil pals' quest for outrageous profits.

And didn't you just love the "Decider's" take on why gas prices have gone so high:
1. crude oil prices are up
2. more demand for oil (China)
3. and get this..."uncertainly in the world." Please tell the Dumbass-in-Chief he is the reason for this...his little oil war in Iraq and constant threats to nuke Iran until it glows almost certainly creates much uncertainness in the world today. Also, it should be noted that number one wouldn't exist if it wasn't for number three.

Please, let's get this idiot impeached!!!!:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

7. The answer is PRICE CONTROLS.
I'm tired of hearing the Bushheads placing the blame on the consumers. We need the fuel for our cars and for heating/cooling our homes, etc. How can we live without transportation and heat?

We must have price controls and limitations of oil company profits. The companies will scream but their greed created the need to get them under control.

8. Add that to the daily taxpayer cost of the Iraq occupation
Edited on Wed Apr-19-06 05:47 PM by herbster
And it comes out to around one billion dollars every two days. I can't even began to guess what the long term costs will be.

edit: that seems like a lot- but I think that's close?
