Mini rant...
Once upon a time, the conspiracy theorists were only dealing with JFK assassination, UFO's, big foot, etc, but now, since moron* lies every day, screws the people of this nation, breaks the constitution on a daily basis, nothing can be discounted as a crazy conspiracy theory anymore. Once upon a time, "those" people were the crazy uncle who lived in the basement, the guy on the street corner picking up signals on his dental fillings or the ranting town nut that babbled incoherently about everything and nothing at the same time. However, now, it's rational people. People who never thought in their right mind that they would be the ones coming up with not only theories as to how moron* and his* room full of dopes are going to screw us, but also coming up with ideas and theories that just as short as 6 years ago, would have been looked upon as truly insane. This is what our country has come to, a nation of conspiracy theorists. Now, isn't that just fucking nuts?

1. My own spouse called me crazy...
when I told him they were taking us to war in Iraq on false pretenses and outright lies. He refused to believe that they would be evil and craven enough to do that. My, how times change.

4. It's a nation awaking,
and it's a beautiful sight! Yea, i have all kinds of theories. And have lost friends because of them, because people didn't want to hear these theories just a few short months ago. But ever since Katrina people have been started taking a harder look at what going on, and coming to some hard truths about this admin.

Hey I used to be in the minority now i'm in the majority, and it feels sooo good.

7. I remember when I first started placing anti-boosh bumper sticker
to my back window. It was about 4 months before F 9/11 came out. I felt so conspicuous at traffic lights, sure that I was the only one who felt that way. Then the movie came out & suddenly I had people honking & giving me a thumbs up. I wasn't going to let being in the minority stop me from voicing my opinion, but it sure felt good when other people started to get it, too!

8. What is insane is that our trust in our government has been so
eroded that we can't assume their good faith any more.

THAT'S insane.

11. At sometimes under Nixon or Reagan, I would get the feeling
that, no one in that administration had our interests in mind. But, it was fleeting, that thought. Because back then, there was a potent Congress and even political appointees within those administrations that had limits. And, while all governments probably f2ck over their people in some way, the transgressions made by Nixon and Reagan were in a way, remarkable. But, that passed.

Except, I think Ronnie laid down the blueprint for rule breaking and doublespeak. He was just smart enough to do that. Within bounds.

These post - Ronnie felons know no limits. We're the drunk they roll on a daily basis, and with impunity. This is a whole different order of magnitude. We are being cannibalized by a small group of sheltered sociopaths.

I don't think that's an overstatement.

:(

money aka, hand it to their cronies.

I don't think I've EVER seen greed operate at quite this level. I mean, really. If they could just curb themselves, they could keep it going long and siphon off more funds.

But it's as though they can't help themselves from taking and taking -- even if it means that they get busted for stealing so nakedly.

16. I agree, it's pretty much in the open.
All the earmarks on bills they push through congress in the middle of the night, it got Cunningham and that one dishonest act will get a few more before it's over. But they have no shame, and it's hard to get rid of these guys. You know how people feel about their congressman, he/she has to be caught with there hand in the cookie jar to get kicked out of office.

13. I have NEVER been any sort of conspiracy theorist until this abortion
known as the current administration. Now I find myself entertaining all sorts of cockamamie explanations that, sadly, are falling closer and closer to the truth.
