Private Citizens free to exercise their constitutional right to comment on the actions of their government. The active duty military is not a democracy and insubordination is punishable under the uniform code of military justice. RETIREES ARE NOT SUBJECT TO THE UCMJ.
And one would think that the retired Generals could just possibly, if one thinks about for a nanosecond, the experts in their field.
10. Why do people keep saying the generals should have spoken up sooner?

Most of the did behind closed doors but were roundly ignored by the Bushbots. Don't people know current events let alone history? Remember Powell spoke up against the invasion but was labeled by Cheney and Rummy as not a team player and marginalized.
I (state your name) do solemly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic that I will bear truth faith and allegiance to the same and that I will obey the orders of the president and the ordres of the officers appointed over me according to regulations and the uniform code of military justice so help me God.
Pretty succinct and to the point. Support the constitution. Obey the President ACCORDING TO REGULATIONS.
Above does not apply to retirees, however I have yet to get out of the habit.
18. I seem to remember somewhere in the military reading that
the military does not have to follow illegitamate leaders. I would think that a person who became Commander In Chief by a stolen election(a silent coup) would not have to be obeyed. It is like a Captain giving an unlawful order to kill innocents. It doesn't have to be followed at least by law. Life could be hell for ya, but the law would be on your side. These Generals don't have to kiss up to this traitorous bastard in my mind. :freak:
