I am actually concerned about this. The people I know who still support Bush are all scary. And I know they would just love to take us all with them if they could figure out a way to do it.

:scared:

4. More likely they will rebuild on a truly massive scale
They will regard Bush and the 2006-2008 elections as a very temporary setback. They have tasted political organization and power.

* Start with school boards, local boards of supervisors, library boards, zoning and planning boards.

* Work up to trial court judges and state legislators.

* I also think - post Katrina and given the collapse of "Disaster Recovery-Civil Affairs" in the National Guard, and the complaints about the Red Cross - they will go after "infrastructure" that we Progressives and liberals totally ignore--
They will make a move on the existing (i) Southern Baptist Brotherhood Disaster Mass Feeding and (ii) Salvation Army.

They will continue their attempts to take over the command structures of the both the National Guard and the

Where possible they will try to capture seats on local Red Cross Chapter boards and to advance the careers of the most evangelical and fundamentalist officers of the Salvation Army.

The goal here is to make disaster recovery a major proselytizing activity - for vulnerable people.
* Community groups - Rotary, Kiwanis, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts -- probably already targeted.

6. That sure doesn't sound like the "true believers" I know
The "true believers" I know of who are still left couldn't organize a trip to the bathroom. They are morons.

and emulating them.

We are already seeing it in two of the local "mega-church" "prayer palaces."

9. They will just go back to blaming Dems for all their problems
And fantasizing about how "great" things were under Dear Leader. For some, Like Rushblow, a change in power would rejuvenate thair careers. It probably gets dull trying to catapult the propaganda day after day.

12. Heavens no. They are far too self-centered and greedy to do
a thing like that. Why would they take their "beautiful lives"? More likely, they would look for a liberal to kill.

13. One can only hope...
But as others have said, they are too selfish and cowardly to fall on their own swords.

But, we can dream.
