Warning Letter
Edited on Tue Apr-18-06 10:30 PM by ls317
http://informationclearinghouse.info/article12769.htm

Thirteen of the nation’s most prominent physicists have written a letter to President Bush, calling U.S. plans to reportedly use nuclear weapons against Iran “gravely irresponsible” and warning that such action would have “disastrous consequences for the security of the United States and the world.”

The physicists include five Nobel laureates, a recipient of the National Medal of Science and three past presidents of the American Physical Society, the nation’s preeminent professional society for physicists.

Their letter was prompted by recent articles in the Washington Post, New Yorker and other publications that one of the options being considered by Pentagon planners and the White House in a military confrontation with Iran includes the use of nuclear bunker busters against underground facilities. These reports were neither confirmed nor denied by White House and Pentagon officials.

2. Good thing our "decider' doesn't read.
These physicists may find themselves unable to board flights and whisked off to Gitmo.

4. Armageddon as urged by Falwell/& the new Iranian leader
Is very possible. The right wing Christian nuts who have taken over the WH combined with the Muslim extremist nuts may just end life on this planet.

Maybe a few remote areas will survive, Southern America, the tip of South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.

The religious zealots will perish into nothingness. Too bad I don't believe in Hell, because that is where they belong. Including the Bushbots.

5. I'm sure the Decider will decide what is Science and what is not and if
it doesn't support what he wants to do when he wants to do it (kind of like the Constitution, or like laws) it's not Science.

Like he'll give a shit what anyone says. He's too arrogant and too stupid to listen to anything that is contrary to his pre-formed stupid-ass unsupported opinions.:eyes:

Scientists have about the same status as plumbers in this administration. And not even as important as the "plumbers" during Watergate.

Arrogance and self-righteousness are the governance and guiding principles of this so-called "administration".

Thankyou for the post. After listening to Bush today, I think the word physicist, may be a little hard for him..These words are also too hard, irresponsible, preeminent, disastrous, consequences. We are in big trouble,:nuke: unless it is hand delivered by the Pope and an interpretor, translator. :scared: :hide: or God..

8. Why does this Tom Lehrer song keep going through my head
whenever BushCo starts talking about Iran?

So long, mom,
I'm off to drop the bomb,
So don't wait up for me.
But while you swelter
Down there in your shelter
You can see me
On your TV.

While we're attacking frontally
Watch Brinkally and Huntally
Describing contrapuntally
The cities we have lost.
No need for you to miss a minute of the agonizing holocaust. Yeah!

Little Johnny Jones, he was a US pilot,
And no shrinking violet was he.
He was mighty proud when World War III was declared.
He wasn't scared, no siree!

And this is what he said on
His way to Armageddon:

So long, mom,
I'm off to drop the bomb,
So don't wait up for me.
But though I may roam,
I'll come back to my home
Although it may be
A pile of debris.

Remember, mommy,
I'm off to get a commie,
So send me a salami
And try to smile somehow.
I'll look for you when the war is over,
An hour and a half from now!

9. Yes, indeed.
How very sad Bush and Muslim theocrats would rather try to kill us off rather than live in peace. All in the name of religion.

Even sadder, is the inability of sane people to reign in their madness.
