I wonder if he was always a fucking loon, or did Fox do it to him?

1. I do. He never seemed so partisan to me
on ABC but I wasn't paying as much attention then either. He was Peter Jennings' 'go to' guy for quite awhile.

4. He used to be
a little more open-minded, in his early days. (Before he was with ABC.) He had a family tragedy that changed him into a rigid, hostile human being.

7. He regularly played tennis on WH ground with WH staffers.
Told me everything I needed to know about his credibility even then.

8. I do, and I liked him very much
I actually recall at some point tuning into Faux to hear what he had to say because I considered him a serious media journalist. If memory serves, the change at Faux was swift. Sad.

9. He was on CSPAN one morning during that time
I got through and asked him about stories that he played tennis with the Bushes. He denied it. I understand that the story has since been confirmed but I'm not sure. Anyone know about this?

12. I remember his spat with Clinton, during a press conference
that announced Clinton's nomination of Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Soon to be Justice Ginsberg made an eloquent speech which was followed by q&a from the press. Hume, working for ABC at the time, asked Clinton an off the wall question about 'disabusing' them on some subject. Clinton was furious and didn't hide it.

13. I don't think he was ever Anchor. He was the White House correspondent
while Peter Jennings was the anchor.

15. With a dud of a dad like Brit, his son killed himself
Prediction from a 1995 interview:

"The Internet is an interesting phenomenon. My sense of it is that in ten years, or fifteen perhaps, we'll all be saying, 'Hey, you remember the Internet?' And we'll all laugh about it. It reminds me of the bulletin board world that existed ten years ago. There was tremendous enthusiasm and excitement among computer buffs about all the things that were possible in that domain. And of course in those days we were talking about the early days of CompuServe and some of the same information services, and there was some of the same enthusiasm expressed there about educational opportunity and e-mail and all the things you could do. It seems to me distinctly possible that a number of people, particularly in the academic world, are getting important work done with help from the Internet, but it is not at all clear to me that it is a very widespread situation."

Brit is just another republican mental-midget spewing crap way out of his paygrade.

16. He seems to have turned more bitter and right-wing since then
It was Bill Paxon's fault, not ours, but these cretins aren't real good at facts or logic. They're all about truthiness, a brilliant word that describes the nut hatches.
