24. Thanks for this. It was a great interview. It's bizarre how
comfortable he is with Imus, considering what an ass Imus can be. Kerry was relaxed, straightforward and witty.

Edited on Fri Apr-07-06 06:59 AM by monarch
(who I like very much) continues to go on Imus and I too thank the person who was performing the soliloquoy cuz I missed the show. What a great way to inform the latecomers to a thread, especially those with time to watch the show if they get the early post. Good job.

On edit: changed live to like. I have learned to my chagrin that spell check doesn't find real words.

29. Unfortunately, Dems HAVE to access the few bits of airtime they can get
no matter what - there is already a corporate media mindset against Dems and they operate 24/7 to maintain the fascist agenda for the GOP.

26. Imus is an obseqious, petty ass! That's why I call him anus Imus.
Kerry was good, from what I heard. Imus had a sardonic comment at the end though about him falling asleep yesterday while Kerry was on Hardball! I thought his interview with Tweety yesterday was awesome!

34. You just never
know which side of Tweety's brain is going to be working.

He was giving Kerry home run balls the whole interview. Kerry was actually subdued compared to the slams he could have taken. Why he didn't, I don't know. Boy that irritates me about him.

But you couldn't ask for a more Bush slamming interview than that from Matthews.

27. Imus even mentioned to Kerry about how great he (Kerry) came off
in the interview. Imus mentioned how Kerry sounded like a regular person and that he should be like this in future interviews. I have a feeling that alot had to do with the fact that Kerry knew he was in friendly territory and that he didn't have to be prepared for contention as he had to face when interviewed by other talking heads.

35. I agreed with Imus on that !
Kerry was fantastic, and came across very relaxed and strong with a sparkling wit and personality. JK was speaking from his heart too, which makes him more endearing as a regular joe, rather than the stuffy Senator rhetoric. I really liked this Kerry :)

Imus does great interviews, and probably why I suffer through much of his show's drivel to catch moments like this.

In fact, asking JK what he thought of Mitt Romney proved what a gentleman JK can be by not turning it into a political hack job. Paraphrased: "don't know him that well, has done good things up here, people will be taking a look at him....but still too early to know for sure". I'm sure Imus wanted a smackdown, and didn't get one.

Listen to Imus JK, be yourself !

36. I really liked this Kerry too. Much better than the candidate that ran
in 2004. It would be painful at times for me to listen to him as I wished him the best because I knew how he was "playing" in Peoria. He would shoot himself so many times in the foot with his stiffness.

What is really weird is it seems to confirm a dream I had during his run for President. In an idyllic setting I met a young charming Kerry who was honest and caring. I actually fell in love with his younger self in the dream, and I had a hard time upon awakening to reconcile this dream Kerry with the candidate.

38. My guess is that it really annoys Biden - Biden was hoping Imus would
endorse him, but I think Imus really believes that Kerry would make the better president.
