<snip>

Q Mr. President, I was raised on a ranch in New Mexico. And my heroes have always been cowboys.

THE PRESIDENT: There you go. Thank you, yes. (Laughter.) I'm not sure I qualify as a cowboy. (Laughter.)

off of his well-worn cowboy boots.

Q Mr. President, I was raised in a jail in New Mexico. And my heroes have always been criminals.

THE PRESIDENT: There you go. Thank you, yes. (Laughter.) I'm sure I qualify as a criminal. (Laughter.)

5. He's scared shitless of horses, yet repukes think he is a cowboy
Edited on Thu Apr-06-06 10:58 PM by Elwood P Dowd
and a rancher. His ranch, or should I say pig farm, only rents animals for photo-ops. Bush can't ride a horse, drive a tractor, or fix a fence. He doesn't even know the difference between a auger and an ole' fashion post hole digger, and he couldn't operate either one.

6. This horse woman says GWB is no cowboy.
After my full day at work, I trained my horse, scooped and disposed of horse poop ( 5 stalls), filled water troughs and dispensed hay to 5 equines. My filly startled and spooked and I had a scared filly on a rope. She calmed down and we continued our work. I saw a deer and a beautiful hawk in the pasture. I doubt GWB does as much work as I do after my day job. I doubt he is as happy as I am after doing hard work all day long both professionally and personally.

8. He's probably also scared of hawks
I have one that follows me around when I'm cutting a 20-acre field out back. It knows when the grass gets cut, the field mice have to find some new cover.

11. Hawks are amazing birds and wonderful to observe.
They have their nests and their home fields and their hunting grounds. They share those with us and allow us to observe their beauty and freedom and flight! Your hawk is a beautiful creature.

9. I grew up on a cattle ranch in Colorado
and no Georgie Boy. You are not a cowboy. You do not own one cow, let alone multiple cows (called cattle) that would qualify you as a person who earns their living through the raising of beef cattle.

In fact, what you do is more akin to dress up. One member of the Village People was quite proficient at the task. He however, was only doing it for entertainment.

Just an aside: How is dressing up as a cowboy when you are not one any different than a grown man playing fireman if he is not one?
