8. This is breaking news???
I liked Mc.Cain for a while, but he's just become another wacko mouthpiece. I'm embarrassed I voted for him in New Hampshire in 2000

17. Add me to the list
I voted for him in Ohio. I thought he was different, I thought he offered a new message, I thought he was the perfect candidate to take down Bush.

Boy, was I wrong...no, make that snowed.

I've cast some votes over the years that I have come to regret. Voting for Sellout McCain is one of them. Now, hopefully, everyone will see him as he really is as a politician.

9. McCain is a strong candidate because he is perceived -- perceived --
Edited on Sun Apr-02-06 10:51 AM by Old Crusoe
as an independent and thus appeals to voters who identify as independents.

But if he continues to sell out to the Far Right and kiss up to Falwell he surely loses a lot of that independent luster.

He can't be the independents' candidate and at the same time bend over for Falwell and his sick minions.

The two "strategic" components of his supposed appeal as a candidate cancel each other out. Brownback wins the nutcase vote and Romney or someone else picks up "Republican independents" in that scenario.

I look for a drop in GOP support for McCain.

I look for a drop in GOP support for McCain.

I do think any GOP support that is out there is actually -- perceived -- support by the media.

13. Yep. The media love McCain. New Hampshire Republicans
preferred him to Dubya with their landslide primary vote in 2000, too.

He stil polls well among some Democrats.

But the more he kowtows to the Right, I expect him to lose that "independent" gloss.

16. McCain always looks like a fool!!
He's constantly sucking up to Bush!!

Remember at the Republican conference a few weeks ago, they were polling several candidates and McCain suggested Bush! It was just one more opportunity for him to suck up to Bush!!!

18. When the Corporate Media calls someone a "maverick", that usually means
This guy is a "team player".

McCain is a damn shill. Always has been. Always will be.

24. McCain is a suckup to Bush for 08 endorsement - McCain no credibility
he just goes with whatever is popular in a given week - an older version of Bush who is gramatically acceptable.
