Is this true or a hoax? (from an e-mail I just received)
Subject: Do not Call Registry

Cell Numbers Going Public
JUST A REMINDER, 20 days from today, cell phone numbers
are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to
receive sale calls. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS!
These telemarketers will eat up your free minutes and end
up costing you money in the long run. To prevent this, call
the following number from your cell phone: 888-382-1222.
It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of
your time.

It blocks your number for five (5) years.

PASS THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS.
You can register on line at: < <http://www.donotcall.gov/>

3. From the National Do Not Call Center:
"You may have received an email telling you that your cell phone is about to be assaulted by telemarketing calls as a result of a new cell phone number database; however, that is not the case. FCC regulations prohibit telemarketers from using automated dialers to call cell phone numbers. Automated dialers are standard in the industry, so most telemarketers don’t call consumers on their cell phones without their consent."

4. While we are debunking things
can I expect the $100,000 from Bill Gates that I was promised for forwarding a chain letter that Microsoft initiated? ;)

11. Was her cell number ever used in any correspondence with them?
More to the point, is her cell phone number listed as a contact number with ANY organization or company that might sell their mailing/contact lists?
