...they typically base their success on how many people they can get to serve them. But they don't want to earn it by doing any type of work that is valuable to others. (just my own experience)

I know we need to stay on common ground but that requires that we persuade one another to stay grounded. An old TV saying just came to mind: "We make money the old fashioned way. We earn it." We've seen too many in the establishment win by lying and cheating, and it just tends to be much more often on the Republican side, IMO.

I would furthermore say we must do whatever we can, personally, to call forth grounded, balanced energy in our OWN lives and by doing so, the ripples go out and Healing takes place.

Our earth is out of Balance and the more of us committed to a higher vision of what's possible, the better.

In my heart, I believe there is only ONE of us here. :grouphug: It's not about Democrats or Republicans, Black or White, Gay or Straight, etc....

I think we get too easily sucked into the illusion of separation and duality and then caught up in trying to figure out who is "right" and who is "wrong". And hell, it's easy to do, given the state of things on the planet.

That's why your words are wise: It's about being grounded and Remembering What Really Matters: Our connection to Everything. I think of an image of a tree, with roots going down into the earth.

The former category embrace freeperdom because attacking somebody else, everybody else, gives them the sense of power and self-respect that their life and job has systematically denied them via the lack of pay, of benefits, of advancement, and of education. They prefer to blame their lives on the negroes, the commies, the beaners, and the feminists, because it's what they were taught by the rich white men who've screwed them over.

The latter, of course, are freepers thanks to the "I've got mine, screw all you" philosophy, where the only thing important in life is making money and getting another tax cut.

Of course, a freeper could be anybody, but the underlying psychology is the same. Either they're have-nots who want someone to blame, or they're haves looking to have more.

My parents are BOTH Republican, and they don't lie steal or cheat to make their way, My ftaher has made an honest living all of his life! As my Mother has too.

I didn't mean to be rude when I made that observation about them. My parents are Republican too, and they worked hard and made a lot of money, but I would not say that they worked any harder than others who have less. The fact is that there are instances where they do accept a degree of lying and cheating to get what they want in life. I don't mean to be inconsiderate but that was just a personal observation.
