Kaloogian "rallies" the "troops" (not the real ones, of course...)
;)

http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/week_2006_03_26.php#008065

Friends:

Last night I wrote to you to give you a heads up on the fact that there was a growing attack on our campaign by the news media and liberal political activists.

And the good news is that despite their best efforts, their attacks are backfiring.

Here's the scoop...

Because they disagree with our support for Operation Iraqi Freedom, the liberal news media and left-wing political activists are trying to defeat us and have sunk to the petty level of attacking me because 1 photograph on my website was mislabeled. The photograph was from our "Voices of Soldiers" tour to Iraq where we went to support our troops fighting in the war against terrorism.

That 1 photograph in question was labeled "Baghdad, Iraq" when it was in fact from Istanbul, Turkey (where part of our delegation had a layover on their return home to the United States).

Once we realized the problem we took down the picture, accepted full responsibility, apologized and replaced the photograph with one properly taken of Baghdad.

Yet, like their efforts to smear President Bush with the last minute DUI story in 2000 or the bogus Dan Rather "Memogate" scandal of 2004 these attacks on my trip to Iraq are already backfiring.

In the past 24 hours my campaign website has been bombarded with our largest inflow of support in the form of campaign contributions that we have experienced the entire campaign.

I am asking that you help me continue to maintain this momentum, so I can respond to these attacks and take our message to the voters.

Please make a contribution to my campaign here:

http://www.kaloogian.com/contribute

<You can contribute any amount - $5, $50, $500, $5,000 or anywhere in between... all the way up to $6,300 per individual>

The American people have had enough of the liberal news media and their blatant smear campaigns against conservative candidates.

I want to thank you so much for standing by me and remaining committed in our campaign. We are going to achieve a great victory on April 11th and it will all be possible because of YOUR support.

With my heartfelt appreciation,

Howard Kaloogian Conservative Republican for Congress http://www.KaloogianForCongress.com

P.S. You may also mail in a contribution to support our campaign to our finance headquarters at this address:

Kaloogian For Congress P.O. Box 1863 Sacramento, CA 95812

I bet half of them came out of someone's ass.

"Umm, let's put Tim LaHaye on there."

"Yeah!! And Phyllis Schlaffley!"

"Do we got a flat tax name? How about Pete Forbes?"

"You mean Steve Forbes?"

"Throw him in too!"

5. Greedy little bastard isn't he? His website is being "bombarded with
support" but yet he is asking for more. I suspect the real truth is that his support has cratered. And notice he does not address the question of how a "mislabeled" photo could stay up on his website for so long and NOBODY that took the trip with him noticed the error. Hmmm? Got an answer for that one, Howie?

14. He doesn't have a single photo where he is standing in Iraq
Not a single one. As I recall, that tour was cut short & they never made it out of the airport base, if they actually made it into Iraq at all, which I doubt.

That guy is a wise ass fraud.

I wish someone would flat out ask him if he has been in Baghdad. I'll bet his answer would be most entertaining.

17. I'm suspicious of his list of endorsers.
Yesterday, Josh Marshall noted that one of the people on his list, the guy who came second to Schwarzenennegger in the list of Repubs after the Recall, denied he had endorsed Kaloogian. He's listed every prominent right-winger in the US. I doubt Tim LaHaye or Phyllis Schlaffley care about who wins the Republican primary in the special election in CA-50.

18. Don't you think that if Kaloogian had a picture of himself
taken someplace in Baghdad, he would have put in on the splash page? He has no such picture, since he was NEVER in Baghdad.

His list of supporters reads like a whos-who of right wing hacks and shit birds. Those clowns will always endorse a "Welfare System Hater", no matter if they know who he is or not.

21. Would the Howard Jarvis association endorse one R over another
in a special primary? In 2004, they only endorsed one House candidate and it was for the general election. There's no mention on the site of any endorsements in 2006. I sent them an e-mail to ask for their list of endorsements for this year.

And as for his photo in Baghdad, what you said! Of course a blowhard like this dope would have that all over his front page.

23. Update: "The Howard Jarvis Tax Association does not endorse candidates"
"However, the separate Political Action Committee does endorse some. That list will be
available closer to the election."

This is the answer I got from the HJTA. Kaloogian caught in another lie.

19. He's still lying about the photo ~
because 1 photograph on my website was mislabeled. The photograph was from our "Voices of Soldiers" tour to Iraq where we went to support our troops fighting in the war against terrorism.

The photograph was stolen from the web, the last I read about it. And wasn't the original photographer identified here yesterday?

Why doesn't he get a job instead of mooching off other people ~ and an investigation into that trip ought to be done. The DOD partially funded it ~ did he ever actually go there??

They get away with the big lies, because no one calls them on the small ones, not this is insignificant, since it is about tax payers paying for rightwing propaganda for this WH and then to add insult to injury, lying about it.

How did this happen? Were the people in such a deep sleep that this kind of lunatic was able to function in the political arena?

Weeping for America:
