Dan Savage Thanks DU; Links To Post
Edited on Thu Mar-30-06 12:24 AM by Hissyspit
Dan links to my post about his Impeach The Mother Fucker Already.com project and thanks us on the site:

http://www.impeachthemotherfuckeralready.com/2006/03/buttons_and_lapel_pins_going_f.html

Thanks to Americablog and Democratic Underground for linking to the www.ITMFA.com—I'm thinking the fact that we've already sold $3,000 worth of ITMFA buttons and lapel pins has something to do with those links. Thanks!

Folks are sending in more pictures of their homemade ITMFA-wear...

...which is wonderful. Keep 'em coming! More going up this weekend!

Some folks want to know why I'm not selling t-shirts. Well, I'm a pretty small operation—it's just me and my laptop and a pile of envelopes that need to have buttons and lapel pins stuffed in them. There are, however, some nice looking ITMFA t-shirt designs floating around out there. I particularly like the t-shirts and other stuff being sold on Cafepress by that freakin' genius at Slapnose.com. Check it out:

Now if he would only answer that letter I wrote to his column asking about how... um, uh, never mind. (Joke)

29. It's probably safe to assume....
that Santorum is not good for bedding? This also brings the argument over who had to sleep on the wet spot last time, to a whole new level. Eeeewwwwwww is an understatement!!

7. I guess we have all forgotten that Dan Savage was pro Iraq war.
Edited on Thu Mar-30-06 01:44 AM by swag
He had an editorial "Say Yes to War in Iraq," in the October 24, 2002 Portland Mercury and Seattle Stranger, arguing along some rather crass Friedmanesque lines.

on edit, the article:

http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/Content?oid=12237

And no disrespect to Hissyspit for fine work on behalf of ITMFA. Snaps to you.

IMHO, the man is a horse's ass full-time, but he will side with us most of the time.

30. Maybe because he supported the war in Iraq?
I would like to know if he has changed his stance. I love this ITMFA campaign, but I am not giving my money to anyone who supports the war in Iraq, no matter how funny I think this is.

21. I'm crashing. I'll be in bed in a little while.
When I came back to the lower 48 (Pennsylvania, North Carolina) after three years in Alaska, the other students were fascinated to hear that we would watch the sun go down - to the horizon line - and then start coming back up! I remember playing baseball at 10 p.m. with the sun still high in the sky. Great fun.

25. And a savage kind of love goes back out to Dan.
I've admired his brand of unabashed filth, thoughtfulness and humor for many years now.

ITMFA is perfect, because I'm fucking tired of talking about it and want to get this shit over with.

With Bush gone, I will then be free to dedicate more of my life to internet porn instead of wasting so much time catching up on George's latest stunt.

Impeachment is freedom!

28. Seeking many truths
"We're at war with a large and growing Islamo-fascist movement that draws its troops and funds from all over the Islamic world."
Islam around the world does need a strong hand to make it into a free life and religion of choice.
They certainly DO NOT have any choice of life under the ruling powers that the US has re-installed in both Afghanistan and Iraq! People in Saudi Arabia, too have little choice and any who oppose Islam are usually harshly punished there also.
In all of the MI countries of Islam it could be demanded that they remove the religion from the powers but we can't sit on Christianity in power and do that! We also cannot keep purchasing anything from them, giving them world monetary power and ever expect them to make any change!
Islam is a growing DESPOT of money and POWER, but one cannot destroy one of those powers (Sadam, al qaida) and replace with the same or worse!
