I found a way at least some outsourcing would stop.
I found a web site today that has a list of Companies who hire AMERICANS to work from home answering questions, researching feedback on how customers feel about the help they've gotten from a particular Company, taking orders, answering questions, etc.

there are also some on the list that are for making calls to potential customers, but I didn't pay much attention to those. The ones I liked were the ones taking incoming calls.

The $$ isn't GREAT, but it's above minimum wage and you don't have any travel expense, time or cothing costs!

Why couldn't WE promote this as an answer to outsourcing jobs like this? Keep them in the US. I have to believe it wouldn't be that much more expensive, if more at all!

I'm not going to post the link because I'm not in the business of promoting their business. I just thought it was a good idea!

There's no cost, other than you have eto have a DSL or Cable connection to the Internet. Some require you to have a second phone line for business calls only. almost all require you to have XP and at least 256 of RAM. As far as I can tell, that's it.

Some pay by the minute you are on line with the customer, some pay by the hour. The average appears to be $6.55 either way.

As I said, it's not going to make you wealthy, but it would pay the bill for the internet and the hone line, and still give you spare $$.

I think this could be a big advantage to a lot of companies who are continually getting complaints that "I just can't understand those people!"

4. For what it's worth, there seems to be quite an advantage if you are
bilingual. I can understand that. Unfortunately, I'm not.

I don't know how to promote this to our US Corps. but it would sure raise their image as well as help Americans!
