Where have all the militias gone?

Oh, I know they are still out there. I just want to know why they don't seem so vocal lately. During the Clinton years, you would always read or hear one of these kooks going on about the government and how they were preparing to defend themselves against an evil, intrusive government. One went so far as to blow up a federal building for goodness sakes.

Now, we truly have a very intrusive government that is hell-bent on taking away many of our liberties. And where are these militias? Where is the anger? Why don't I hear more about them? Again, I know they are out there, but I don't hear the great pronouncements that they were making during the 90's.

Maybe it's like the addage, "All Republicans aren't racists, but all racists are Republicans." Substitute "racists" with "militia members," and you probably accurately describe their party leanings. Yes, my brush is taking some broad strokes, but I believe there is some merit to this.
