8. And they complain about "Hotel Balconey Journalists"
He goes "Fact Finding" to Iraq and the only pic he can provide is from...

Yes, apparently the hotel balconey.

In all his time there, he could not take ONE picture at ground level to support his claim, even though that was a major part of his PURPOSE for going there. I imagine they spent a large part of today going through photographs, trying to find something they could show. They couldn't find anything - not even in the Green Zone?

btw - has anybody checked this photo?

6. Defeats the point
He was trying to use the original photo to argue that Baghdad is not the mess the press makes it seem to be, but showing us a normal street scene in a healthy city. Now he's got a photo from the air, with a similar message: "We took this photo of downtown Baghdad while we were in Iraq. Iraq (including Baghdad) is much more calm and stable than what many people believe it to be. But, each day the news media finds any violence occurring in the country and screams and shouts about it - in part because many journalists are opposed to the U.S. effort to fight terrorism." How does an aerial photo demonstrate this? Other than that there exist times when there's not smoke coming out of a particular section of the city.

If it weren't for the original "mistake" photo, this might not look entirely ridiculous, but given what happened, the message now is that they went to Baghdad, took pictures, and can't find a single one with a normal healthy looking busy street scene! Hah.

because his "mistake" is hardly rectified

Downtown Baghdad
We originally posted a photograph not of Baghdad, Iraq but from Istanbul, Turkey where our delegation traveled on the way home to the United States. We apologize for this mistake. We have corrected it with a photograph we took from Baghdad. We took this photo of downtown Baghdad while we were in Iraq. Iraq (including Baghdad) is much more calm and stable than what many people believe it to be. But, each day the news media finds any violence occurring in the country and screams and shouts about it - in part because many journalists are opposed to the U.S. effort to fight terrorism.

Look at all the couples walking down the street. Makes ya wanna get a cocoa.

Here's the original photo, which many say was in Turkey

It takes a Repug to use fake information to continue faking the truth.

Maybe the site needs to use this:

Perhaps the photo was artfully cropped:
