Solve the "illegal immigration" problem
by offering Mexico statehood. I propose that we annex Mexico as the 51st State; and in the process, we solve the cheap labor problem by requiring American businesses both here and in Mexico to abide by current U.S. labor law and the minimum wage.

Taxes are added to the treasury and joining the military for wages, benefits and job training would be beneficial to a new resource of recruits and would bolster the numbers in our stretched forces.

Just a thought.

3. I said offer them
statehood. I guess they vote on it, don't they?

And sure, we can offer statehood down through Panama into South America if that's what it eventually leads to.

Why not? The U.S. has expanded from the original 13 colonies across the Mississippi into the west and to the East coast. Then off the continent and elsewhere on the continent.

Why do we stop at 50? Why not continue the expansion on the continent. I think this is a better option than seeking empire in the Middle East by starting wars. Why couldn't it be a "win-win" situation?

5. That wouldn't be
a problem if we weren't engaged in illegal wars. And why wouldn't citizens of the current States not want to move into the beautiful Mexican territory to live and therefore tax revenue?
