So Our Incompetent Pres Has Left Us Vulnerable To Nuclear Attack...
Undercover agents bring dirty bomb into US undetected
by John in DC - 3/27/2006 11:14:00 PM

............

So our dangerously incompetent president has left the nation vulnerable to nuclear attack. Next 9/11, Bush's fault. (Though the first 9/11 was hardly a profile in executive courage either.)

Two teams of government investigators using fake documents were able to enter the United States with enough radioactive sources to make two dirty bombs, according to a federal report made available Monday.

The investigators purchased a "small quantity" of radioactive materials from a commercial source, according to a Government Accountability Office report prepared for Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations Chairman Norm Coleman, a Minnesota Republican.

The investigators posed as employees of a fictitious company and brought the materials into the United States through checkpoints on the northern and southern borders, the report stated.

He's a dolt, and was only put in front of people to get Cheney in the WH. His name was recognizable. Other than that, he means zilch. He can't even read the speeches he's handed.

2. a dirty bomb is not a nuclear attack
its effect is mostly limited (the biggest damage comes from conventional explosives) but very psychological.

you'd need a Tchernobyl-like event to cause real damage

there is plenty of perfectly legal radioactive stuff you can buy at Wal-mart, enough to trigger detectors

I call fear-mongering

5. Yep. Property Loss Event. Blow One Up In A Downtown Area
Congress will have to meet to bail out the developers that own the buildings.

For the rest of us, leave the area, don't drink or eat anything, take a shower.

4. My letter to my Rep transcends politics....
Rep. Mica,

It is time for patriots to overlook their allegiances to party. The nation is at risk from the incompetence and malfeasance of the Bush administration and it is time for the majority party to lead the charge to remove this criminal administration from our midst. The last straw, the event that makes me so angry I can hardly see straight, is the apparent movement of nuclear material (by government investigators) into our country, a feat that could easily be duplicated by those who wish to harm our country.

Sir, it is time to take a stand, it is time to put country and constitution ahead of politics, it is time, it is time, it is time.

Regards
