Little Bennie Domenech is already whining at "Liberal Attack Machine"
Edited on Fri Mar-24-06 06:01 PM by RamboLiberal
<snip>

"The truth is, no conservative could write for the Post without being subject to the gauntlet of the liberal attack machine. There is no question in my mind that any RedState contributor writing for this blog would have found leftists delving through his high school yearbooks and grade school book reports in an effort to discredit and defame him. And if you too were a sloppy teenage writer, your errors or the errors of others would’ve been exploded.

"I have a great many friends who are willing to stand and defend me on this. I appreciate their support. I have enormous respect for Jim Brady and the vision he has at WPNI. But while the folks at washingtonpost.com understand my position and are convinced by my arguments on many of these issues, they also feel that the firestorm here will only serve to damage us all, and that there is no way this blog can continue without being permanently tagged to this firestorm. Therefore, I have resigned this position with washingtonpost.com.

"This is a shame. As you all know, I am a conservative, but not a partisan – I believe had this blog been allowed to continue, it would have been a significant addition to the Post's site. The Post showed bravery by including a conservative voice, and I hope they continue to seek that balance.

"While my blog was only alive for a week, it did have one result that was encouraging. If the change of heart described here continues, it will all have been worth it.

"To my friends: thank you for your support. To my enemies: I take enormous solace in the fact that you spent this week bashing me, instead of America."

20. Yeah. Are his plagiarisms really that old? Or is he just lying again?
Anybody have the dates handy? Was he really in high school at the time Salon.com came into being?

They are consistently - every moment of every day, proving its validity. Next, they'll be whining because people said they're all whiney. Cry me a river - ya rat bitches and bastids.

6. And even more whining
Edited on Fri Mar-24-06 06:08 PM by RamboLiberal
Ben Domenech's conservative blog Red America lasted all of three days at the Washington Post. He quit today after numerous examples of alleged plagiarism in his work surfaced. Yesterday, in a separate matter, he had apologized for calling Coretta Scott King a "Communist" the day after her recent funeral.

The highly embarrassing episode for the Post culminated Friday afternoon when washingtonpost.com executive editor Jim Brady published a notice on the Web site announcing that Domenech had "resigned." However, Domenech was then quoted in Human Events, the conservative magazine, as admitting he had been pushed out.

“I guess the thing that bothers me the most about this is that the Post didn’t give this a chance to either blow over or work itself out,” he said. “And I feel that if they had done that, the blog would have been a great addition to their site....I felt like if I didn’t resign, they would have pushed me out—if not today, then Monday.”

He also said: “While I appreciated the opportunity to go and join the Washington Post, if they didn’t expect the leftists were going to come after me with their sharpened knives, then they were fools.”

<snip>

Criticism of the Post's hiring of Domenech had also emerged from within the paper's own ranks. Political reporter Dana Milbank in an online chat at the paper's Web site said today: "What I don't understand (although I haven't inquired) is why the website couldn't recruit somebody with more stature to do the job. This city is crawling with good conservative journalists with lots of heft."

10. I guess his referring to the WaPo as "fools" means he expects
to be rehired, right away.

...Malkin called the bloggers who found out the inconvenient truth "moonbats" in her hateful diatribe. Lordy, I can't wait for the day when these unAmericans are looking inside from the outside.

8. Anybody here still a card carrying member of the
liberal attack machine?
I acknowledge being willing to attack intellectual dishonesty, corruption and moral cowardice. If a person fits into these categories, and purports to be a source of leadership, he can expect my contribution to his unmasking. I do not now, nor have I ever, belonged to any attack machine of any sort!

13. We're too disorganized even to win many elections.
An attack machine would probably seem too dishonest for most of us, but the more I think of the idea, the more I like it!

17. well, if one is on the attack about verifiable facts ...
... not vague allegations, sneak questions ("have you stopped beating your wife?"), or ad hominem slurs ... confronting someone doesn't have to be dishonest or underhanded. Arguably, "Fitz", or the people who are the prosecutors at the Enron trials, are attacking ... but in the public interest.

Somehow, "attack" (like "criticism") has taken on a negative connotation -- though it doesn't have to be so.

14. Two statements from Ben Domenech
"...I am a conservative, but not a partisan..."

"...To my enemies: I take enormous solace in the fact that you spent this week bashing me, instead of America."

Ben Domenech is not a partisan? :eyes:

Other than that, one just does not plagiarize. Period.

18. These little shits aren't "conservatives"-- they're right-wing radicals!
I'm determined to repeat this over and over -- what all these little whiny, tattle-tale, "no liberal shades of grey" dipshits have in common is that they are NOT conservatives! :grr:

Old-school conservatives stood for Constitutional rights, fiscal responsibility, individual freedoms, non-interference abroad (NO nation building), etc. etc.

In ***what*** way are any of these so-called "neo-cons" really conservative?????

Cry me a river, Bennie, you're killing me.

Why not come up with something original, like,"I am an avowed partisan and an admitted neocorn asshole and if you don't like it, I'll never speak to you again!"
