British woman may get death penalty for eating a slice of pizza
This week Prime Minister Tony Blair broke his silence on the case and made the following comments:

First, let me say that this young woman knew the law. She is 18 years old and that's old enough for her to take responsibility for her actions. If she had waited until she reached the legal age of 19, then I might have myself purchased a slice of pizza for her.

The court will determine the facts and I am not going to interfere, but let me just say that we have a report from an agent of the Ministry of Pizza, Tobacco and Firearms that there was an entire pizza pie in this young woman's possession. We are not talking about just one slice of pizza, so I would ask people to be cautious about accepting the media spin.

There are also reports that she has an Italian boyfriend. If the court does not make an example of this young woman, then we face not merely the possible extinction of our national cuisine, but the possibility that in a few generations we as a people will be extinct.

13. The topping was Yorkshire pudding and beef drippings.
Thus the need for a trial to determine whether it was a foreign food as alleged by the prosecution or a British form of pizza as alleged by the defence.

Please de-welter me. I preferred the pre-welter period. Being beweltered isn't my thang.

8. Your analogy isn't a very good one.
That may be why nobody on the thread even understands that you're making an analogy.

17. It's a bit confusing
There's 3 minutes I'll never get back. It's a good story, but the analogy is so confusing that people might not even bother reading the real article. Is there some way to make it clearer that the post is satire?

18. Maybe if it gets copied there will be an article in Snopes about it.
Until then, it can be just another urban legend that hasn't yet appeared in Snopes.
