Now we know where to look for a General Strike,
if (when?) the elections are stolen this November. The Latino community; if they will walk out in this situation on immigration laws today, they will do it for votes tomorrow. They are also familiar with the tactics we would need from ousting the PRI's old boy network from power in Mexico in 2000.
This type of action in November would hopefully get the AFL-CIO and so on out of their seats and on the streets, and further unions and groups would follow. My only concern is what Fearless Leader would do when confronted with a general strike; I think we would need to get the PD unions in cooperation with the other protesters.

1. elections
this idea of stolen elections is not as far fetched as it sounds. Nixon had a study done to see what the results of either martial law or no elections at all. keep this in mind and remember that cheney was one of nixons guys.

3. Immigration laws, yes - that directly affects latinos but...........
.....don't count on Latinos being equally interested in elections in this country. Latinos are very picky about the issues they call for a demonstration/strike on and I'm not sure fair elections in this country would show up on their radar screen. If Fox (Mexican President) calls for a strike concerning elections in this country then you'd have a movement on your hands. Latinos are generally interested in one thing, a very fluid southern border.

4. So you expect the Latinos to do the White man's dirty work?
Why should the immigrants protest against stolen elections when they have consistently been marginalized by this so-called "democratic" society?

7. Maybe because they don't live in a separate parallel universe and I am
sure that they all have unique interests and are not controlled by one main brain somewhere.
