I just had a scary thought RE POS Bush Impeachment...
Can you imagine if all the Repukes in congress decided that it was in their interest to impeach POS Bush & Cheney for his numerous lies and crimes? They would immediately resurrect their image as politicians of integrity and honesty and strength, they would get new Repuke president to take POS Bush's place, and they would probably sweep the 2006 elections.

The appointed president would be seen as starting off with a "clean slate" and would have improved chances in 2008.

Am I crazy thinking this?

1. In terms of how the public would respond, you're right, but
the Republican party simply isn't capable of cutting its own head off. The chaos that this would cause within the party will keep it from ever happening.

2. Well that is how we got rid of Nixon, finally.
Once the republicans decided he was more of a liability than an asset. Whatever. He needs to be removed by whoever can do it.

3. No.
Congressman Mike Pence is launching his campaign with "Let's renew the contract on America" even though he's the one enabling the bushies to disbobey it. See "Top 10 Conservative Idiots #10."

5. Don't be scared. No way Republicans will vote to impeach.
They wouldn't get GOP funds if they did.

6. Why would they go through that trouble when they can adjust
a member or two using Diebold? I believe they have bigger plans than a "clean slate".
