Men, I need a show of hands
Looks like I need to donate to make this a poll. I'll do that post haste. In the meantime...

This question os for the men. If you were younger than 17 and lost your virginity to a woman in her 20s or older, did it/would it have traumatized you later in life?

Speaking from my own experience, no it did not. But that doesn't mean I would condone it if I had a son. But speaking for myself, it didn't cause any problems for me growing up.

Your turn. I hope I don't need a flameproof suit.

1. i can only show you one hand...
the other one is busy at the moment. But I think it depends on the maturity level of the 17 year old. Generally, I think, no trauma would occur.

2. actually, he was 14.
There is a big difference between a 14 year old and a 17 year old.

My son is almost 14 and an 8th grader. He is very unlike even a 16 year old.

3. I would have traded anything
for an older woman to show me the ropes. I had that desire when I was 12.

5. It didn't traumatize ME...
but it certainly traumatized HER. I was a little younger than 17.

Near as I can tell the guilt really screwed her up.

6. Gosh, that is so cool for any teenager to lose his virginity to an older
woman! :applause:

The woman, on the other hand, can be arrested for rape in most states, depending on the age of the boy.

But it is all good, if the kid has an older woman to show him the ropes. :sarcasm:

construct a poll.

Seriously. Can't you afford $10?

and the press conference held by the teacher.

"How come I didn't have any teachers like that in high school?"

13. Might it depend upon the circumstances?
Edited on Wed Mar-22-06 03:07 PM by ayeshahaqqiqa
I've heard from men who lost their virginity at an early age (some as early as 14) to prostitutes in Mexico. They say that they regret that that was their "first time".

14. Oh it definitely depends on the circumstances
Edited on Wed Mar-22-06 03:11 PM by Radio_Guy
I just wanted a discussion on the topic. If my first was a teacher who led me on to think we would be together forever, only to find out I was a fling, it probably would have scarred me. If it were a prostitute who gave me a disease, that would be traumatic as well. If it were a next door neighbor who I helped move across town and she thanked me physically, then there probably would be no problem, even though I was 14.

15. I would have been on top of the world at 17
For a 17 year old boy, it is all about where can I stick it next. Hormone central

16. No it would not. But at 17 I'd already been shagging for a year....
Edited on Wed Mar-22-06 03:23 PM by truebrit71
...but then that was in the U.K. and it's legal to shag your brains out if you're 16 or older....That way, by the time you're 18 and old enough to 'legally' go down the pub, you can spend more time with your mates, 'cos you've been shagging for two years straight and need a change...
