3. Jeff saying that Helen would (and did) provide the opportunity for Bush
to go to his argument that He consulted the UN. SH did not comply, and Bush had to protect the country.

8. She asked why he REALLY went to war, now that all the public reasons
have turned out to be bogus.

He changed the subject entirely to "I didn't want to go to war", as if that diffuses the argument that since he did (and it sure looked like his choice of FIRST resort at the time), there must have been SOME reason!
