I now am a C-SPan geek and haven't watched 'The View' in years, I am enamored with classical music, I look forward to "Snotty Scotty" and the comments so I can disagree also. Likewise for the blivet.

I look forward to DUer's movie, music, and political reviews, and don't always agree but totally appreciate you informing me!

The movements of people in defense of other people on the DU has always blown me away, and for everyone with a heart and brain, who instigated and were involved, you have my heart.

For the info on bird flu, mad cow, water, hurricanes, food, you rock! The truth might be more reasonable.

For the continual info I get from DU on a variety of things, I thank you all! And admins, you know you rock, but I think so too!

13. Hmmm, link. I remember the word vile, it was right after Katrina,

and I asked for advice. You were literally full of it and I appreciated it! My friend sent me one of the first of many bad-mouthing messages from whomever, saying that the residents of the gulf coast brought this on themselves (comparing to a similar event in Australia). I took issue with that, and compared myself to a to bleeding heart liberal vs. a faux Christian.
It's painful to realize I lost a buddy, but maybe she wanted to lose me also. Bye-bye, so long, farewell.

Why?

Because in a world gone crazy, I need a bit of sanity.

Because in a world of 24/7 news media, I need some REAL information.

Because in a world of endless stupidity, I need some intelligent conversation.

I hope you knew that already though. You (and others here) have kept me sane ... kept me up way to late at night ... made me late for work because I had to read that one last post before I left ... that took me to that one last source or picture that I had to see ... or that one last press question and the Scottie Squirm that followed ... and that one last laugh before I start dinner .... Well, you get the picture right?

I can't thank everyone enough for seeing to it, through your posts and your curiosity, that *I* am one of the best informed people that I know ... and doing it all with love and empathy and sympathy and understanding (most of the time ;) ).
