Hmmm. Now This Is A Scary Thought: If Hillary Is Elected In 08,
and does well enough to get elected to a second term, she may be followed by Jeb Bush getting elected in 2016 and he might even serve two terms.

That would mean that either a bush or a Clinton had been President or Vice President of our country for up to 44 years in a row. 44 fucking years in a row, either a bush or Clinton. Something about that just doesn't seem to be what our forefathers had in mind...

Just my quick impulse thought of the day. Carry on! :)

1. But what if she did so well her VeeP was elected after her 2 terms.
Why go all negative?

8. It's Called Being Theoretical. There's An Important Part You Missed. It's
the part that said "Jeb MAY be". May. That is theoretically speaking. It also means "MAY NOT BE", but for sake of the OP intent, the "MAY BE" is the one that makes sense in the context. It is saying if things did go that way, what the outcome would be. Negativity has not a thing to do with it.

25. We can argue up and down about that, I think Gore made mistakes too
but I'd rather see him as the nominee in 2008 than Hillary. By a mile. And Al Gore DID win the election, so it's debatable how MUCH he "effed" anything.

(And of course, it goes without saying that if the Clenis hadn't caused as much trouble as it did, Gore might not have felt the need to make that particular tactical error.)

3. Wouldn't that be 36 years?
Edited on Tue Mar-21-06 06:46 PM by MrSlayer
Poppy 4
Clinton 8
Chimp 8
Hillary 8
Jeb 8

Adds up to 36.

I guess if you want to count Poppy as 12 because Raygun was brain dead it would be 44.

Edit: Must have missed the "Vice" part of your thought. You're right.

5. Bzzzzzzzzz. Nope. Poppa Was VP For Two Terms. 44 Years.
Edited on Tue Mar-21-06 06:51 PM by OPERATIONMINDCRIME
on edit: Ahhhh, ok, we're eye to eye now. Yeah, I was talking Pres and VP, cause lord knows we've seen the VP has as much say or more in overall policy sometimes anyway right? Figured if you're the VP or the pres, the power is still enough to be included in the dictatorship like legacy 44 years would friggin be LOL.

And I'm not even completely against Hillary running or anything. This isn't really about whether she would or wouldn't be good. It was just an impulse thought on the reality of dynasty that could occur. 44 years, somethin just really not right about that ya know?

There are other reasons too, but sheesh, can we please get someone in the WH whose last name is NOT Clinton or Bush????

(And, I'm doubting Diebold will be the culprit, either)

13. Do you think that if ANY Dem president was elected, and had 2 successful
terms, after THIS bunch, that people would ever want to go back to any kind of Bush?

Come on now.

14. Yes, they will forget...many people who survived the Depression...
and were basically saved by FDR then turned around and voted for the crook Nixon and brokedown cowboy Reagan. They bought in because the Republicans told them they would keep the uppity blacks in their place. Stupid people (most of the populace) fall for scapegoating every time.

20. Not sure about that
The adults that went through the depression like my grandparents sure as heck didn't vote for Nixon or Reagan. I believe it was the greatest generation that helped Nixon and the baby boomers that went sour and gave us Reagan, Bush and Bush II electric Boogaloo

Edited on Tue Mar-21-06 07:06 PM by pitohui
you did not just happen to think of this since the same post in almost the same words has been all over the internet for months

somehow the bush part is not what bothers people

it's the clinton

and i'm sick of hearing it parroted over and over again, although i'm sure i'll hear it abt a zillion more times before we're done

just hopefully not on a pro-democrats site

thank you

22. Oh Get Over It. Seriously. My God LOL
Righwing talking points? Get a grip, seriously.

To be honest, I haven't heard of this at all, and thought of it out of complete impulse tonight. Methinks if you've come across it so much, you might be better served not visiting so many rightwing sites so you don't have to complain about seeing it so much.

See, cause I don't go to rw sites, and I haven't seen this yet. You said you've seen it all over the internet on RW sites. Well stop going to RW sites. Not that difficult a solution really LOL

As far as being something that's taboo on a pro-democrats site, well that's just absurd. This had nothing to do with a slam against the left or anything undermining our cause at all. I have stated clearly that if Hillary was the Dem nominee I'd vote for her in a heartbeat. This was just an impulse thought about the weird reality that could be, 44 years of a bush or Clinton. I found that intriguing. Get over it. :hi:
