1. "No President wants war"? What a funny response!
Edited on Tue Mar-21-06 04:22 PM by kenny blankenship
His own Treasury Secretary has said that Bush was holding cabinet level meetings in which the issue of how to start a war with Iraq was discussed in the very first weeks of his Usurpistration, months before 9/11.
If that's not "wanting a war" then I suppose Hitler didn't want war with Poland. It was just an pre-Oktoberfest beer run that got out of hand.

6. This was my response:
Easy. The President went to war with Iraq because Osama's cousin once vacationed in Egypt with this guy whose friend knows a guy whose brother-in-law heard from a nurse he once dated that Al Zarqawi broke his leg and was treated at a hospital in Iraq.

...the reasons Dick decided on it: a combination of his own greed and his warped PNAC ideology.

11. Here's what I sent to Jack
Pres. Bush made the mistake of appointing the most vile of Americans, the
neocons of the PNAC, to key positions in the administration and in the
Pentagon. These war-mongering chickenhawks have been champing at the bit
for decades to establish a US military presence in the Middle East to secure
the oil, secure Israel's safety, and open more markets for US companies. In
the meantime, their cronies have been making bank in the military-industrial
complex (which we were warned of by Gen. MacArthur and President
Eisenhower).

They did it because they could and they thought the could control the oilfields.

They were as wrong as possible.

16. My letter to Jack.
Jack

All one needs to do, to understand why Bush invaded iraq, is to visit www.newamericancentury.org As early as 1998, the Project for A New American Century were pressuring Clinton to invade Iraq. One of these “PNACers” was Donald Rumsfeld. You’ll remember that right after 9-11 Rumsfeld wanted to invade Iraq. There were no good targets in Afghanistan, you see. Not to mention that Bush, soon after he was elected in 2000, said to a reporter, who was discussing Saddam with Condi Rice, “Saddam? We’re taking that (expletive deleted) out!”

Bush planned on invading Iraq to carry out PNAC’s dream of a Pax Americana. Global hegemony, if you will.

RB Ham

XXXXX XXX

P.S. Isn’t it CONVENIENT that the PNACers got their “new Pearl Harbor” (9-11) that they so openly wrote about on their site. And that they so desperately needed to manipulate the American people into backing them.

Take a chance, Jack.

The truth is but a mouse click away…
