Well Now, We Finally Have a Definition for Victory in Iraq from the chimp
Edited on Tue Mar-21-06 01:16 PM by leftchick
ah, sort of....

BUSH: We do have a plan for victory, and victory is clearly stated, and that is that Iraq is not a -- becomes a safe haven -- and that's important for the American people that Iraq not be a safe haven for terrorists.

Their stated objective is to turn Iraq into a safe haven from which they can launch attacks.

Secondly, a part of the plan for victory is for there to be security forces capable of defending and providing security to the Iraqi citizens.

And thirdly is that democracy and that government take root to the extent that it can't be overturned by those who want to stop democracy from taking hold in Iraq.

These are clear objectives. And they're achievable objectives.

5. That ain't gonna happen
In fact if these idiots have their way, we stand a lot better chance of making Bin Laden's plan for Iraq happen - namely that he wants us to stay there long enough to bleed the US dry, just like they did to the USSR in Afghanistan.

6. gosh they really DO know what they're doing!
Edited on Tue Mar-21-06 01:24 PM by sui generis
all that stuff about mission accomplished and costing 1.7 billion dollars was just a decoy. They knew all along. I'm so proud of them - let's go kill some more civilians.

Our news media was blaring every loving detail of oval office blowjobs 24/7 for two fucking years, blue dresses, semen composition, vaginal cigaritration and after hours intern sausage smoking. But the incompetence of this administration and our idiot of a president who just thinks he can give yet another insipid staged kindergarden show-and-tell speech and everything's all right doesn't even get a squeak from the media.

It's mind boggling.

8. lol I like how there are a couple steps to victory
like the 2000 presidential election, soon the supreme court will step in and award Bush the victory in Iraq!
Because actually winning is not really a victory!

Those objectives are, at any rate, fairly clear...

12. but they are not their objectives...
Even if they were their true objectives, are they achievable? They clearly are not. And that is the whole problem we have with this bunch of fucking liars. The true objectives are to stay in Iraq at our "lily pad" bases as rummy calls them and control the oil. Oh yeah the bases are also perfect for our next war in Iran.

11. No Saddam ties to Al Qaeda, No Nukes, No chem-bio WMD PRE INVASION, oil?
Edited on Tue Mar-21-06 01:54 PM by Sparkman
OIL is not the objective!!! Revenge for the assination attempt on Bush Sr is not the objective??
Oh my, I'm stupified or dumfounded.

So as * now admits, Saddam had no ties to 911, sanctions decimated Iraqs military hardware & economy, we need to occupy Iraq for many more years AND establish a democracy amid the Curdish and the Sunni and Shea, establish an Israeli friendly Iraq meanwhile there's no Iraqi civil war...all doable.

AND it's not about OIL...just about our concern for the Islamic Theocracies lack of democracy.

Well there are now a few problems that those 100,000 civilian deaths in Iraq & that the U.S. military occupation, have initiated. They may conflict with *'s stated goals. BUT they CAN be acceptable if the U.S. leaders discount the 100,000 Iraqi deaths and their families vengence, trivialize the state of siege, even in the "green zone", and if the OIL revenue can somehow miraculously begin to flow to U.S. companies, and if the mammouth U.S. national debt is ignored.

Has anyone made the math come out with the U.S. treasury in tact?

13. Absolutely incredible that The Chimp gets to be a two-term president...
There isn't a single damn thing about him that's presidential. But what does that matter when you're annointed to be the figurehead of a dynasty?

Anyone, and I mean **anyone** who still supports this arrogant little dipshit clearly needs help. :grr:
