3. woohoo!
My election day is today too, but thankfully I voted early. We just got hit with a blizzard. Of course, if I had not already voted I would still be going out for it despite the bad whether.

4. I decided to wait til after work. We (IL-6th) just got new machines and
our polling place judges over the years haven't been the sharpest crayons in the shed. They're probably still arguing about whether we have to use a stylus with the touch screen so I'll give them a few hours to get it together.

5. Back now. New machines here in Kane County.
Not touchscreens. They use a dial and a few buttons. They print the ballot on a strip which is displayed to you to confirm, and then a bar code is printed on the strip for machine counting.

I need to see if Illinois law permits recounting the plain text part of the ballot strips.
