Bush pissed himself and hid when he faced going to Vietnam
I know the pro-Pissypants numbers are dwindling in the military but why is ANY member of the armed forces willing to support Little Lord Pissypants?

1. Especially since all the complaints they had against Clinton.
I never understood that. And then the repub congress slashing veterans benefits. Unreal.

2. And the Corporate carnivores fired Dan Rather for telling us about it.

3. Massive propaganda.
They get a large portion of Limpballs, from what I've heard from a kid that was over there.

BTW, once he got back, he quickly understood the realities of the shady politics going on stateside. And he's angry and feels betrayed. It's a damned shame that guys like Malloy are not broadcast there . . .

6. Maybe it's time for a reverse Voice of America.
Back during the cold war Voice of America broadcast news and stateside programs to countries behind the Iron Curtain. It was on a special bandwith that was passed around by word of mouth. You would have to get an Arab state on board with you and have them broadcast Malloy, Randi Rhodes, Sam Seder and the rest on a band that could be picked up by their radios in Iraq.

7. Yes, shortwave broadcasts were a lifeline . . .
. . . to the Czechs, Hungarians, etc. Used to have a SW radio as a teenager. Picked up the wildest places! If the weather was just so, I could actually get not only Europe, but South Africa!

I hope there's a way to reach these poor kids with the truth. Rumsfield has such a stranglehold on things over there. Sad times.

4. Yep, and Bush is also openly hostile to veterans benefits and care
It makes me think that many vets and active duty members are naive, that they can't see how hostile Bush is to them and to their traditions. Bush's recent budgetary actions to cut veterans' health care have been especially reprehensible.

While I find John McCain to be repugnant overall, at the very least I respect him for going into Vietnam (despite being something of an aristocrat himself) and fighting. The guy had to survive torture and torment the rest of us could hardly imagine while in the POW camp. Bush in contrast was livin' it up while skipping out on his duties in the National Guard.

5. Cheney had "other priorities"
and cluckered out of Vietnam.

It's beyond pathetic these chicken hawks are now running the country. Cheney's sneer might say "what do you mean I should fight for my country?"

Let the lower income class do that. We don't do that.
