Lou Dobbs kicks John Fund's ass.
Lou was pointing out why Americans were worried about the economy and Fund tried to butt in. Dobbs jumped into his shit, shut him up, and took over the rest of the segment explaining outsourcing jobs to India and China.

Lou gave Bush hell on just about everything tonight. There was even a report about the US giving Westinghouse 5 billion dollars to build nuclear plants in China. Westinghouse is not even an American company anymore. He played a tape of Bush's dumb-ass answer to the question about the Apocalypse. Great interview with Kevin Phillips about the christian right now controlling Bush policies.

2. Too Little....Too Late....
Once these repubs who voted for King george begin to open their eyes, and realize the damage which has been incurred, they should also be reminded that we have 3 Long Years left with King george in power, and that things are going to get Much, Much worse before they get better.

Where were these repubs 2 years ago?

Not anymore, anyway.

People DO change, and Lou has been hammering away at stories that other talking heads barely, if ever, mention.

18. The immigrant problem is totally out of control
Many state and local governments just don't have the money to support it.
Plus, the excess of workers who will take $5.15 and hour (or $4.00 an hour under the table) is driving down wages.

29. yes, blame down wages on the illegalimmigrant!
why not blame the asshole corporations who exploit them--and do not do what is right for them. a prime example the janitors at the university of miami--and, gasp, gasp, gasp, donna shalala who refused to get involved in a dispute between the janitors and the privatized company she hired to hire them--until democracy now did an expose and now the shalala got involved, the privatized company gave the janitors a pay raise that affords them better living (i wonder) and also gave them health care.

please don't blame the illegals for the country's woes. blame the damn greedy corporations!

6. Westinghouse was not given $5 billion, it is a loan guarantee
and Westinghouse employs many people in the states. The bulk of the engineering work is done in Pittsburgh (a city that really needs good paying jobs) and in central Connecticut. They also have locations in Tenn., NH and SC. These are good paying jobs and I think it is a good idea to keep them in the states.

14. You have a good point about how it helps employees.
People seem to be under the impression that the government is just handing shareholders $5 billion when it helps these corporations.

As you point out, Westinghouse is a big employer. Sure, this loan helps shareholders, but employees will benefit, too.

16. One of the best
I've seen a lot of Lou Dobbs, but I've never seen a night when I thought he was going to call for Bush's impeachment and announce for president himself! Btw, that Kevin Phillips book sounds like a great read. I have a little money on my Borders gift card from Christmas and I think I know where it's going.

Edited on Mon Mar-20-06 07:43 PM by RGBolen
Just look at what countries or people are in the news, if they are not white on that days show Dobbs will come out against them or what they are doing.

I'm waiting for him to announce his Neo-Whig candidacy for '08 "God bless America, and NO place else"

Like America? Lou constantly criticizes the Bush administration for things that it is doing right in this country.

Your assumption is flawed.

25. I know he criticized the admin when they were not going to block

DP World from keeping the contracts of the company they bought, guess they were not white enough for ole Lou. Or when the administration makes any indication that "illegals" are human beings, "illegals" being Mexicans, that ain't going to cut it with Mr. Dobbs. You are not going to see him side with anyone who refers to non-whites as human beings.

22. Two weeks ago Lou Dobbs practically bitchslapped Fund and kicked his butt
It was during the UAE Dubai port controversy. Fund tried to tell Dobbs that the reason a foreign company was the only entity to bid on the ports contract is because Longshore Unions have driven American companies out of business. Dobbs went several shades of red beyond apoplectic and cut Fund off in mid sentence with a withering look of disgust. I thought THAT confrontation was even more amusing. I almost felt bad for Fund the way Dobbs treated him with complete and utter contempt. I almost felt bad for him, but I didn't because the little shit deserved it. I'm amazed that Fund has come crawling back to Dobbs' show with his tail between his legs after the complete embarrassment he suffered. I guess Fund has no face left to lose so it doesn't matter to him.

23. I Just Can't Place The Rodent John Fund Reminds Me Of
Not really a rat, and not smart enough.

Too annoying to be a mouse.

Maybe it is some trash eating South American rodent I saw on the Discovery channel years ago. One so digusting that the natives would not even eat it during famines.
