This article made front page on Pravda Russian paper
Edited on Sat Mar-18-06 04:53 PM by lovuian
I know sometimes Pravda has some bizarre articles but every once in awhile they get some interesting stuff

I like to see what the Russians are reading and would love to hear your guys comments
Somethings in the article is definitely a stretch but the general idea is that Bush is desperate to get his polls up...This talks about his desperation...

It appeared FrontPage Pravda on 3/17

http://english.pravda.ru/opinion/feedback/17-03-2006/77430-bush-0

Back in June 2005 I realized that in order to turn the United States into a full-fledged police state, one more major "terrorist attack" would be needed. But it would have to be even more spectacular than the U.S. Government-engineered "9/11." That means one thing: a nuclear bomb being detonated in America by "terrorists." Here is what I predicted in June 2005:

Sometime before the 2008 presidential election, and possibly much, much sooner, the United States Government will detonate a small nuclear bomb in an American city, killing 10,000 to 100,000 civilians.

The U.S. government will blame Al Qaeda or Iran, “postpone” upcoming elections, make Bush the president indefinitely (i.e. “President for Life”), suspend the Constitution, impose martial law, and the fearful American public will go along with it all.

The U.S. government will control the “investigation” of the nuclear explosion. It will control the media even more so than it does now (by suspending the Constitution), so nobody will be in a position to challenge its findings. And swooning patriotism over the desire to “get even,” combined with a renewed draft will solve the military’s problem of obtaining enough recruits.

Detroit is an ideal city to “nuke” because it’s an economically blighted city, it’s got a large Arab population that the government can accuse of being Al Qaeda aiders and sympathizers, the bomb will wipe out all those Arabs, and it will give the government an excuse to bail out the beleaguered American auto industry just like it did the airline industry after 9/11.
First off his prediction for the Super Bowl didn't happen... but he's not the only one to think Bush's desperation is going to preempt another Terrorist attack...

You wouldn't see this in a US paper... NO WAY but I find it fascinating that the Russians are waiting and watching...:nuke:

1. WOW - that's the exact scenario I was fearing
(except I didn't think it would be Detroit)

2. As horrifying as that article is
now at least I know that i'm not the only person in the world who believes something like this happening is a good possibility. I keep thinking about how brazen they are and wondering why. Something similar to this is all I can come up with.

3. You know when you stop....
to think about it, this nuclear explosion theory is not so far fetched. I am amazed how coincidently (sp?)fast the Patriot Act appeared after 911, by the current FISA spying (which is not really recent--we JUST recently found out!), by the re-structuring of FEMA (very powerful in and of itself)with the Dept. of Homeland Security,ad infinitum. The New World Order has been under construction for a long time.....oh, almost forgot we have the Real ID ACT too! This morning on the Washington Journal there was an hour's discussion and call in about census type forms some people are receiving and threatened with a $5000.00 fine if it isn't filled out and returned. Our secret government knows so-o-o much about us and we know??????????:hide:

6. Having been born in Michigan, I'd say Detroit is too close to the border.
Edited on Sat Mar-18-06 05:20 PM by Dunvegan
A Detroit detonation would be almost as much a Canadian issue as an American issue.

If the powers-that-be don't want an international incident which would maximize the investigation, and if they have control of where to detonate, they should choose a city far from an international border.

Unfortunately, my city...San Francisco...would make an excellent target. :tinfoilhat:

7. The scary thing is, I'm reading this and thinking the same things.
I hadn't considered Detroit. But it does make perfect sense from their POV. I don't know if anyone remembers, but there was an article in the WSJ (I think) about the impending bankruptcy of United, Northwest, and Delta airlines on Sept, 10th 2001.
Eerily similar, now that GM and Ford bonds are junk and they have an enormous inventory of gas sucking SUV's that nobody wants...
Why not? They think the unthinkable, and expect their outcomes, regardless of reality every day. :nuke:

8. Must be feeding time
I hear the monsters are especially hungry lately.

Problem with small nukes, is that they aren't very spectacular. You can't see radiation and a suitcase nuke in a major city would only effect a couple of blocks.

Funny, they pulled out the smallpox scare again too today.
