but chimp is totally gray now. During the 2004 campaign, his hair kept changing color. Many pictures were posted of it. Does it still change color every three or four days? Are we going to see him chestnut brown next week? And the press says nothing. Can you imagine if Kerry pulled that?

If you want to read another classic, try searching the archives for a thread that was something like 'Anatomy of a DU flame war as told with smilies' Some here should remember it. Every time I see a troll get banned I can't help but laugh and think "All Hail the Moderators!"

Thank you for resurrecting that one. I didn't bookmark it the first time I read it. I did today.

I always wondered 'who' the mind behind that thread belonged to. When I read it the first time I was always envious of how smart, quick, and ingenious that person was.

Maybe it really was (ahem) you know who.

I've always felt that DU should hold an annual 'Best Of DU' competition where we could vote on the best threads to be placed in a 'DU Hall of Fame'. We could have categories like 'Funniest Thread', 'Most Informative', 'Highest Impact Outside DU', etc. I think it would be fun and a great page for lurkers to check out to see what this site is all about. :)
