WE HAVE A WONDERFUL CHANCE (IF SLIM) TO WIN THE SENATE.
HOWEVER, WE ALL HAVE TO PUT OUR BACKS INTO IT.
LET'S JOIN BARBARA!!!!

"We all know who Katherine Harris is and remember the underhanded role she played as Florida's Secretary of State during the 2000 presidential election. But as if that weren't bad enough, now she is trying to "cash in" on that notoriety in her bid to become the next U.S. Senator from Florida. 48 hours ago Katherine Harris announced that she is putting $10 million of her inherited wealth into her campaign. My friend Senator Bill Nelson needs our help to defeat Katherine Harris, and he needs it today.

As you well know, the 2006 elections are critical: control of the Senate and House both hang in the balance. Now, with Katherine Harris and her $10 million in the race, all eyes are going to be on Florida once again. Karl Rove and every other Republican strategist want to score a victory there, and they are going to do everything and anything it takes to win.

As I wrote to you a few months ago, Senator Bill Nelson is facing the political battle of his life. But this isn't just about him -- it's about all of us. His victory will be our victory, but his defeat would be a loss for all of us. If Democrats don't hold on to his seat, it will be nearly impossible for us to win back the Senate in 2006.

Please rush an emergency contribution to Bill Nelson through our ActBlue page today!

In 2006, Democrats have a real chance to take back the Senate and start moving America forward. We have a chance to beat Karl Rove and the Republicans in an election they want very badly. We have a chance to turn the tide of the last six years by making this election a referendum on the failed leadership and failed policies of George Bush and the Republican Party.

In 2000, Katherine Harris stood in the way of our Democratic victory. Now, in 2006, Katherine Harris and her checkbook stand in our way once again.

Bill Nelson needs our help. Support at this early stage is critical when facing a challenger like Harris, who is very well-financed and will undoubtedly be supported by a whole legion of White House minions. They know that she was responsible for President Bush's victory in 2000, and they will surely back her up now.

But together we are stronger than they are. Now let's prove it.

Contribute to Bill Nelson's campaign through the PAC for a Change ActBlue page today!

I have already told Bill that the PAC for a Change community will have his back, and that we will help him stand up to the attacks that are already coming his way. With your help, I know we'll be there to set the record straight.

But I want to do more than that. Today, I want to SHOW him that we are there for him. I want to send a message to Bill and to all Americans that we aren't just going to stand by and let Katherine Harris milk 10 days of national media attention from her infamous behavior in 2000 into a U.S. Senate seat in 2006.

Let's show them all what we can do: Contribute to Bill Nelson's campaign today!

Thanks for standing with me in this fight for a better America.

In Friendship,

Barbara"

1. Will the Party At Least Try To Fight The Fraud in Florida this Time?
I doubt Harris could win a fair election no matter how much money she has.
By any ordinary standard, she is hopelessly far behind in the polls.

But this is not fair, this is Florida.

They are highlighting the size of her war chest so that
they will have an explanation for her "comeback".
Karl Rove has already started working on the story for the media to publish after the election.

They probably will spend $10 million (Harris will get reimbursed under-the-table, of course)
on voter intimidation, purges, fake voter registration drives and all.

2. Amen - I am sick of donating to people who roll over...
I'm a hairs'-breadth away from stopping all political donations. I donate to Hackett, he rolls over and lets his dick be chopped off.

I donated to Kerry. He rolled over and let Diebold do him up the ass.

This country is being stolen, and I don't see the purpose in giving money to any more politicians when they just roll over and let the fraud continue.

I don't see the point in donating to any political person anymore. The value of the dollar is dropping through the floor, and the way I see it, with Democrats being pussies, willingly letting Republicans destroy this country, I need all the money for me. Hell, based on reports, I even wonder if the money I donated to Katrina victims was ever spent wisely.

I just don't see why I should ever donate to another Democratic patsy again, only to watch them bend over and give the Republicans a free pass up their ass when the elections are stolen.
