"But contrary to what many many television networks erroneously reported, the operation was by no means the largest use of airpower since the start of the war. ("Air Assault" is a military term that refers specifically to transporting troops into an area.) In fact, there were no airstrikes and no leading insurgents were nabbed in an operation that some skeptical military analysts described as little more than a photo op. What’s more, there were no shots fired at all and the units had met no resistance, said the U.S. and Iraqi...

7. We knew
The timing was vulgar - it was all about the polls that lying murderer and his goons claim to ignore.

3. so, it was an air strike
that dropped troops not bombs? (my impression so far) and an attempt to look powerful and ready to rumble?

4. Exactly...and they
were talking about this very issue on The Young Turks. It was not an Air Strike!

At the most, it was a practice drill for the new Iraqi Army. We all knew it was a *bush propaganda moment.

5. I wanna puke!
This is really the kind of story that could put the nail in the coffin on Bush.

Another lie, another fabrication, another propaganda stunt.

I wanna puke!

8. This could work against Bush the Lesser...like so much else these days
The administration made such a big deal out of thie Operation Swarmer that, in a Press Briefing, Scotty was asked point blank if the President approved of this move and were told, NO, it wasn't the kind of operation that required his approval.

The press was shocked! Shocked! This could turn into another bad moment for Bush the Lesser, who looks uninterested and disengaged...again!

The next day, one of two things happens. Either

1) The WH, fearing another bad moment for Bush, changed the meme of the Operation so that there was no actual killing - therefore, it didn't need Bush the Lesser's approval.

or

2) The Operation was always a ruse and, before Bush the Lesser starting looking even worse, they killed their own story of military prowess.

The problem is, American's do not like to be lied to (number 1 was changing the truth to a lie while number 2 is changing a lie to the truth).

Do you think American's will figure it out?

Just another day's work of photo ops and marketing of the war product to the American war consumer.
